The Yashica 72E is a Japanese made half frame compact from the 1960's. Its appearance closely resembles Yashica's full frame designs - but of course is much smaller. Caroline picked this one up at a car boot sale for £3. It appears to mostly work however it has a bash to its top plate which seems to have affected the non coupled exposure meter. The B setting also does not work.
In 1963 a Yashica 72E would have cost (pounds, shillings and pence) £22 15s 0d including its pouch case. This equates to about £285 at Year 2000 prices, but expect to pay more like £30 for one in good working order.

This is portion of a slidestrip taken with this camera in September 2000. The venue is the Reading and Wokingham show in the UK, and the subject is some sort of US built truck.
Thanks to Alan Dewey of NC in the US who has identified it as a Peterbilt type truck from about the 1970's.
The slidestrip was digitised by use of a light box and our Epson PhotoPC650 camera.
