This is an Agfa Isolette I - the baby of the Agfa Isolette range - replacing the Isolette V in about 1952. This is a 120 rollfilm folding camera which takes 12 pictures 6cm x 6cm in size. Developed from the Isolette V it features a top mounted shutter release - but otherwise is very similar. The Isolette I was made from about 1952 until at least 1958. It was still actively being sold in the UK in 1959 - but like all Isolette cameras had disappeared by about 1960. The camera only varied slightly over its lifespan - but from the various minor cosmetic differences - this one would appear to be one of the later ones. In 1958 - this camera would have cost (pounds, shillings and pence) £10 3s 2d.
This particular example is the camera which started Caroline off on collecting Agfa cameras. The camera is almost in mint condition and barely used. However they are of little value today - usually between £10 and £20.
