This is not so much a camera - more a photography set. However I felt it belonged on the toy camera ‘shelf’ as this is cannot be considered a serious piece of photographic equipment.
Nice box - a but a bit of a shame about the contents. There is a small photo album and a roll of colour print film. The camera is fairly uninspiring though - and unlike some of our other toy cameras (eg PINGO) is obviously not specially made for this set - but merely has a Thomas sticker on its front.
There is an instruction leaflet hidden behind the camera - but the camera is very standard in operation anyway.
This box set is dated 2000 ((c)Robert Frederick Limited) on the packaging and 2001 ((c) Gullane (Thomas) Limited) on the cameras itself.
Whilst I have not seen this particular set for sale recently - other similar sets (with different branding) do appear from time to time. However whilst cheap to buy - children certainly do respond better to the instant response of digital photography and after the initial outlay they are usually cheaper to use too.
