This is an Agfa Paramat introduced in about 1963 and still actively being sold in the UK in 1965/66. It is a half frame camera with automatic exposure control. Basically it is the fully automatic version of the Agfa Parat 1. Unlike the Parat 1, this Paramat has a white lens casing - although apparently some Paramats had Parat 1 like black ones. This particular example is untested - but apparently in working order. In 1963 it cost (pounds, shillings and pence) £21 18s 3d, plus £1 16s 3d for a pouch case. As they were only made for a short period - the Paramat is not common today. However it is possible that examples will be available at quite low prices. Dealers who specialise in half frame will value it higher and will probably want £25-50 for one.
