Once the shutter speed ring has been removed - you should see the following:

Okay this is it. The shutter mechanism striped down from the front as far as I was prepared to take it. Quite a lot of work can be done here. However for a complete cleaning the shutter needs to be removed from the camera.

The shutter can be removed from the camera at any point - even without any disassembly from the front.
